Root Beer Barbeque Sauce

2 | cans or bottles | root beer |
1 | cup | bottled chili sauce |
1 | med | onion, finely chopped |
2 | tbls | garlic, minced |
1/4 | tsp | root beer concentrate |
| several dashes | hot pepper sauce |
- In a medium sauce pan, combine the root beer and chili sauce; add the onions and garlic.
- Bring to a boil; then reduce heat. Boil gently, uncovered, stirring occasionally, about 30 min. or until mixture is reduced to about 2 cups.
- Add root beer concentrate and bottled hot pepper sauce, if desired.
